Terms of Sale and Manufacturer Warranty
These Terms of Sale govern all purchases made through Shiny Cabinets. By placing an order with Shiny Cabinets, you agree to the policies described below.
Orders and Pricing
All product pricing listed on our website reflects cabinet pricing only unless otherwise specified. Shipping, delivery services, and applicable taxes may be quoted separately.
Quotes provided by Shiny Cabinets do not reserve inventory unless the order is confirmed and payment has been received.
Availability of cabinet styles, colors, and accessories may change without notice depending on manufacturer inventory levels. In rare cases, Shiny Cabinets reserves the right to modify or cancel an order if inventory becomes unavailable or if pricing errors occur.
Order Processing
After an order is confirmed, the order enters the processing stage. Processing may include payment verification, order review, inventory allocation, picking and packing, pallet preparation, and scheduling shipment with freight carriers.
Processing time is separate from shipping transit time.
Estimated processing times may vary depending on the cabinet manufacturer, warehouse inventory, order size, and whether the cabinets are ordered assembled or unassembled.
Orders that include cabinet modifications or specialty items may require additional preparation time before shipment.
Shipping and Delivery
Most cabinet orders ship via palletized LTL freight carriers. Smaller orders may occasionally ship through parcel carriers such as FedEx or similar services when packaging and weight allow.
Delivery is typically curbside or driveway delivery. The freight carrier lowers the pallet to ground level using a liftgate when required. The customer is responsible for moving cabinets inside the property.
Customers must ensure that the delivery location is accessible for freight trucks. Limited-access locations, narrow roads, gated communities, or restricted driveways may require additional coordination or may incur additional delivery charges from the carrier.
Delivery appointments are arranged directly between the freight carrier and the customer. An adult must be present to receive and sign for the shipment.
If delivery cannot be completed due to customer unavailability, incorrect address information, or unsafe access conditions, freight carriers may charge redelivery, storage, or rerouting fees. These charges may be the responsibility of the customer.
All delivery timeframes provided are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Freight transit times may be affected by carrier schedules, weather, terminal routing, and other conditions outside the control of Shiny Cabinets.
Customers are strongly advised not to schedule installation until all cabinets and parts have arrived and have been inspected.
Inspecting Shipments
All shipments must be inspected at the time of delivery before signing the Bill of Lading (BOL).
Customers should:
- verify carton and pallet counts
- inspect packaging for visible damage
- note any damage or missing cartons on the delivery receipt
- take clear photographs of any issues
Failure to note visible damage at delivery may limit the ability to file a freight claim.
All cartons should be opened and inspected within five (5) calendar days of delivery.
Damaged or Missing Items
Delivery damage may occasionally occur during freight transport.
If damage is discovered, customers should report the issue to Shiny Cabinets as soon as possible and provide:
- photos of the damaged item
- photos showing the packaging and product label
- a close-up image showing the damage with a measuring reference when possible
Damaged or missing components that are properly documented and reported before installation may be replaced by the manufacturer.
Replacement timing may vary depending on part availability. In-stock components are typically shipped within approximately one week, while special-order or custom color parts may require additional production time.
Customers should not assemble or install damaged cabinets, as installation may limit the ability to process replacement claims.
Returns and Order Changes
Returns, cancellations, or order changes may be subject to restocking and service fees.
For standard cabinetry brands such as Forevermark and US Cabinet Depot, unopened unassembled cabinets and related components (including panels and trim pieces) may be eligible for return in original packaging, subject to a 25% restocking fee. Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer.
Certain cabinet lines and products are not returnable. This includes, but may not be limited to:
- assembled cabinets
- bulk sale items
- discontinued items
- certain manufacturer-assembled cabinet lines such as Fabuwood and Waypoint
Orders that remain held beyond their originally scheduled shipping timeframe may incur storage fees. Orders held for extended periods may be subject to cancellation and restocking charges.
Manufacturer Warranty
Cabinet products sold by Shiny Cabinets are manufactured by third-party cabinet manufacturers. Warranty coverage for cabinet products is provided by the manufacturer according to their respective warranty policies.
Below is a general summary of manufacturer warranty coverage.
Forevermark Cabinetry
Forevermark cabinets generally include a limited warranty ranging from approximately 2 to 5 years depending on cabinet components and finishes. Structural cabinet parts such as doors, frames, and drawer components are typically covered against defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use.
Coverage applies to the original purchaser and the original installation location.
US Cabinet Depot
US Cabinet Depot cabinetry is typically covered by a Limited Lifetime Warranty for the original consumer purchaser. This warranty generally covers defects in cabinet construction, hinges, and drawer glides under normal residential use for as long as the original owner occupies the residence where the cabinets were installed.
Fabuwood Cabinetry
Many Fabuwood cabinet collections, including several current product series, are covered by a Limited Lifetime Warranty for the original residential purchaser. Some cabinet series may instead carry a limited multi-year warranty depending on the specific product line.
The warranty typically applies while the original purchaser owns the home in which the cabinets are installed.
Waypoint Living Spaces
Waypoint cabinetry products are generally supported by a Limited Lifetime Warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use. Warranty coverage typically applies to the original purchaser for as long as they own the home where the cabinetry was installed.
Warranty Conditions
Manufacturer warranties generally share several common conditions:
- coverage applies to the original purchaser only
- coverage applies to the original installation location
- warranties cover defects in materials or workmanship under normal residential use
Warranty coverage generally does not apply to:
- improper installation
- misuse or abuse
- environmental exposure such as excessive humidity or water damage
- alterations or modifications
- normal wear and tear
Warranty claims are typically processed through the authorized dealer from whom the cabinets were purchased.
Shiny Cabinets assists customers with warranty inquiries and claims, but manufacturer warranties are administered by the respective manufacturers according to their policies.
Limitation of Liability
Shiny Cabinets is not responsible for labor costs, project delays, installation expenses, or other indirect damages related to cabinet replacement, shipping delays, or warranty claims.
Policy Updates
These Terms of Sale may be updated periodically to reflect changes in manufacturer policies, shipping practices, or operational procedures.
